Copyright & Takedown Policy

Dorsal Hub LTD ("DorsalHub") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws, it is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement.
Please note that while DorsalHub does not host the original source files (e.g., PDFs, Videos), we do host User Content derived from them (such as metadata, text extracts, and annotations). This policy governs the removal of such Content from the DorsalHub Service.
1. Procedure for Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner and believe that any content available on the DorsalHub Service infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. This notice must be sent to our Designated Copyright Agent and must include the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, and information
reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it. For DorsalHub, this is the full URL
of the metadata page (e.g.,
https://dorsalhub.com/file/<hash>). - Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

2. Procedure for Filing a Counter-Notice
If you believe that your Content that was removed is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner's agent, or pursuant to the law, you may send a counter-notice to our Designated Copyright Agent containing the following information:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the content that has been removed and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the content.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification.
3. DorsalHub's Actions
Upon receipt of a valid takedown notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing metadata page.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward a copy to the original complaining party. The removed content may be reinstated 10 to 14 business days after receipt of the counter-notice, unless our Designated Agent first receives notice from the original complaining party that it has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in the infringing activity.
4. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with our policy, we may, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
