    "abstract": "The inclusive pion double charge exchange process on nuclei is considered in\nthe framework of the Gribov-Glauber approach. It is shown that inelastic\nrescatterings related to production of two (and more) pions in the intermediate\nstate give an important contribution to the process of double charge exchange\nat kinetic energies above ~ 0.5 GeV. This mechanism dominates at energies\ngreater or about 1 GeV and allows to explain the weak energy dependence of the\ndouble charge exchange cross section observed experimentally.",
