KEY INVESTOR INFORMATION
This document provides you with key investor information about this Fund. It is not marketing material. The information is re quired by law to help you understand the nature and the risks of investing in this Fund. You are advised to read it so you can make an informe d decision about whether to invest. Global High Yield Bond Fund, Class Ma, Income shares shares, USD, a sub - fund of Aviva Investors (ISIN: LU2736016945). The Fund is managed by Aviva Investors Luxembourg S.A. OBJECTIVES AND INVESTMENT POLICY
Objective: The objective of the Fund is to earn income and increase the value of the Shareholder's investment, while outperforming the Bloomberg Global High Yield Excl CMBS & EMG 2% Cap Index over the long term (5 years or more). Investment Policy: The Fund invests mainly in high yield bonds issued by corporations anywhere in the world, with an emphasis on North America and Europe. At all times, the Fund invests at least two - thirds of its total net assets (excluding ancillary liquid assets, eligible deposits, money market instruments and money market funds) in bonds that are rated below BBB - by Standard and Poor's and Fitch or Baa3 by Moody’s, or are unrated securities considered of equivalent credit quality, based on the Investment Manager’s internal assessment. The Sub - Fund may invest: up to 10% of total net assets in bonds of governmental, quasi - governmental and supranational issuers from developed markets; up to 10% of total net assets in convertible bonds; up to 10% of total net assets in bonds issued by corporations in emerging market countries and up to 30% of total net assets in money market investments. The Sub - Fund may also invest up to 10% of total net assets in Additional tier - 1 (AT1) and contingent convertible bonds, up t o 5% of total net assets in unrated securities and up to 10% of total net assets in distressed securities. For full details of the risks applicable to investing in these bonds, please refer to section “Risk Descriptions”. The Sub - Fund does not actively inv est in shares or other participation rights. However, the Sub - Fund may hold equity securities received passively as a result of debt restructuring, provided such holding do not exceed 10% of total net assets. Derivatives and Techniques: The Fund may use derivatives for investment purposes. The Fund may also use derivatives for hedging and for efficient portfolio management. Securities lending: Expected level: 10% of total net assets; maximum: 20%. Securities made available for lending: all securities held by the Sub - Fund from time to time. Sustainability Disclosures: This Fund promotes environmental and social characteristics however does not have a sustainable investment objective. To be eligible for investment, all investments that are selected as part of the Investment Manager's ESG analysis must follow good govern ance practices and not be excluded by the Investment Manager's ESG Baseline Exclusions Policy.
The Investment Manager actively engages with companies and uses voting rights with the aim of positively influencing company behaviour and helping to create competitive returns. The Investment Manager integrates qualitative and quantitative data on adverse sustainability impacts into its investment processes. The Sub - Fund does not make any minimum commitment to invest in one or more envi ronmentally sustainable investments. Further information regarding how the Investment Manager integrates ESG into its investment approach (including information on its ESG Baseline Exclusions Policy) and how it engages with companies is available in the Re sponsible Investment Philosophy section and on the website www.avivainvestors.com. Benchmark (performance comparison): The Fund's performance is compared against and the Fund aims to outperform the Bloomberg Global High Yield Excl CMBS & EMG 2% Cap (the “Benchmark” or the “Index”), however the reference benchmark is not aligned with all of the environmental or social char acteristics promoted by the Fund. The Fund does not base its investment process upon the Index, which is only a representation of the investment universe. Therefore the Fund will hold bonds that are not part of the Index and will only hold a relatively small proportion of bonds relative to the number in the Index. The Fund is expected to operate with lower volatility than the Benchmark over the long term. The Investment Manager actively makes the investment selection decisions for the Fund. Other information: You can buy and sell shares on demand on any full bank business day in Luxembourg. The portfolio and benchmark will be hedged to the base currency of the Fund; the base currency of this Fund is USD. Recommendation: this Fund may not be appropriate for investors who plan to withdraw their money within 5 years. This is an income share class and any distributions from the Fund will be paid to you. Illiquid securities risk: Certain assets held in the Fund could, by nature, be hard to value or to sell at a desired time or at a price considered to be fair (especially in large quantities), and as a result their prices could be very volatile. Credit risk: A bond or money market security could lose value if the issuer's financial health weakens. Below investment grade bonds (also known as high yield securities) typically have greater credit risk than investment grade securities. Interest rate risk — bonds: When interest rates rise, bond values generally fall. This risk is generally greater for longer - term bonds and for bonds with higher credit quality. Default risk: Issuers of certain bonds or money market instruments could become unable to make payments on their bonds, causing a reduction in income to the Fund and also in the value of bonds held by the Fund. Under extreme market or economic conditions, defaults could be widespread and their effect on Fund performance significant. Contingent convertible securities (coco bonds) are complex instruments, their income payments can be highly volatile and may be cancelled or suspended at any time, and they carry greater risk of investment loss than equities. Sustainability risk: The level of sustainability risk to which the Fund is exposed, and therefore the value of its investments, may fluctuate depending on the investment opportunities identified by the Investment Manager. Underlying fund risk: To the extent that the Fund invests in shares of other funds, it takes on the one - time and ongoing costs of those shares. It also takes on the risks of those shares, including the derivatives risk and counterparty risk arising from any embedded derivative s (which are common in ETFs). Leverage risk: A small price decline on a "leveraged" underlying investment will create a correspondingly larger loss for the Fund.
