    "abstract": "This monograph (written in 1974) is the last part of the author\u0027s study in\nthe field of theoretical and practical mechanics of the inertless mass (or\nmechanics of continuous medium). The investigation enriches the theory and\nprovides complete understanding the essence of such wide-spread phenomena as\nstreamlining, lifting power, wave resistance, and explains particular features\nof the resistance for a solid moving with a supersonic velocity. A new\nprinciple is presented for calculating the screw propeller which does not make\na breaker behind the ships. This monograph is addressed to specialists in the\nfield of theoretical and practical hydrodynamics and adjacent sciences. It will\nbe useful for engineers.",
