    "abstract": "The Interacting Boson plus broken-pairs Model has been used to describe\nhigh-spin bands in spherical and transitional nuclei. In the spherical nucleus\n$^{104}$Cd the model reproduces the structure of high-spin bands built on a\nvibrational structure. Model calculations performed with a single set of\nparameters reproduce ten bands in $^{136}$Nd, including the two dipole\nhigh-spin bands based on the $(\\pi h_{11/2})^2$ $(\\nu h_{11/2})^2$\nconfiguration.",
