This document provides you with key investor information about this Fund. It is not marketing material. The information is re quired by law to help you understand the nature and the risks of investing in this Fund. You are advised to read it so you can make an informed decision about whether to invest. AI Sterling Gilt Fund, Insured Pension Accumulation Units, a sub - fund of the Aviva Investors Funds ACS (AIF ACS) (ISIN: GB00BKBQ9Z42). This fund is managed by Aviva Investors UK Fund Services Limited. OBJE CTIVES AND INVESTMENT POLICY
Objective: The Sub - Fund aims to grow your investment over the long term (5 years or more) through a combination of income and capital returns, by investing in bonds issued or guaranteed by governments. Core investment: At least 95% of the Sub - Fund will be invested i n bonds which are issued or guaranteed by the UK Government (known as gilts), or issued or guaranteed by other governments, with a rating the same as or higher than that of the UK. At least 80% of this investment must be bonds issued by the UK Government. All bonds must be denominated in, or hedged back to, Sterling. Other investments: The Sub - Fund may also invest in other investment grade bonds, other funds (including funds managed by Aviva Investors companies), derivatives, cash and deposits. Derivatives may be used for investment purposes or to gain a particular market exposure which would otherwise be difficult or costly to achieve, or to manage the Sub - Fund's cash flows in a cost - effective manner. Derivatives may also be used to reduce risk, such as for eign currency risk within the Sub Fund. Strategy: The Sub - Fund is actively managed, and whilst this focus will be on investing in UK Government bonds, the Investment Manager will select appropriate investments from a range of global government bond markets with a view to delivering optimum risk adjusted - returns. The Investment Manager will focus on identifying investments through assessment of the economic and political stability of individual countries, the valuation of the bonds relative to the market, th e views of independent risk rating agencies, and any other relevant factors, whilst also taking advantage of short - term opportunities when they arise. The Sub - Fund is subject to Aviva Investors' baseline exclusion policy – please see Appendix 2 of the Pros pectus for information on these limited investment restrictions. Performance & Risk Measurement: The Sub - Fund's performance is compared against the FTSE® UK Gilts All Stocks Index Total Return (the “Index”). The Sub - Fund does not base its investment process upon the Index, which is only a representation of the investment universe, therefore the Sub - Fund will hold bonds that are not part of the Index.
The Sub - Fund uses a “tracking error” to measure the consiste ncy of the Sub Fund's returns and the returns of the Index. In general, the lower the tracking error, the more consistent the Sub - Fund's returns are relative to the Index, and vice - versa. The Sub - Fund is expected to have an average yearly tracking error of between 0% and 2% when compared to the Index. In certain conditions the Sub - Fund may be outside of this range. The Index represents the performance of a range of UK gilts and includes UK gilts listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Index has been select ed as a benchmark for performance and risk measurement because it is representative of the type of bonds in which the Sub - Fund is likely to invest, and it is therefore an appropriate comparator for the Sub - Fund's performance. Fixed Income Risk: Inv estments in fixed interest securities are impacted by market and credit risk and are sensitive to changes in interest rates and market expectations of future inflation. Bonds that produce a higher level of income usually have a greater risk of default. Ill iquid securities risk: Certain assets held in the Fund could, by nature, be hard to value or to sell at a desired time or at a price considered to be fair (especially in large quantities), and as a result their prices could be very volatile. Interest rate risk — bonds: When interest rates rise, bond values generally fall. This risk is generally greater for longer - term bonds and for bonds with higher credit quality. As a consequence of this, the Fund may be treated as tax transparent for the pu rpose of income and /or gains by relevant taxing jurisdictions. The Prospectus and the annual and half - yearly reports are prepared for the umbrella. The Fund is a non - UCITs retail scheme. This NURS - KII document is specific to this unit class. NURS - KII docu ments will be available for other unit classes within this Fund where they exist. The Fund's current unit price is calculated on each working day and is published daily on our website. The Depositary of the Fund is HSBC Bank plc. It has delegated the funct ion of Custodian of the Fund to HSBC Bank plc. Investors should note that the tax legislation that applies to the Fund may have an impact on the personal tax position of your investment in the Fund. The Fund is a Sub - fund of AIF ACS, an umbrella structure comprising different Sub - funds.
