This document provides you with key investor information about this Fund. It is not marketing material. The information is re quired by law to help you understand the nature and the risks of investing in this Fund. You are advised to read it so you can make an informed decision about whether to invest. AI Japanese Equity Index (Custom Screened) Fund, ACS (Class 3) Accumulation Units, a sub - fund of the Aviva Investors Passive Funds ACS (AIPF ACS) (ISIN: GB00BFZP4C45). This fund is managed by Aviva Investors UK Fund Services Limited. OBJECTIVES AND INVESTMENT POLICY
The aim of the Fund is to seek to provide capital growth and income for investors by tracking closely the performance of the FTSE® Custom Screened Japan Index (the "Benchmark Index"). In pursuing this objective the Fund will directly invest into constituen ts of the Benchmark Index. The Fund may also invest in permitted transferable securities, permitted money - market instruments, permitted deposits, units in collective investment schemes (including schemes operated by other Aviva Group entities and group ent ities of the Investment Manager) and exchange traded funds (including funds operated by group entities of the Investment Manager). Derivatives may be used for the purposes of efficient portfolio management and to reduce risk in the Fund. Derivatives are li nked to the rise and fall of other assets. In other words, they "derive" their price from another asset. They can generate returns when share prices and/or indices fall. The Benchmark Index is based on the FTSE® Japan Index the Parent Index) but introduces custom screening to exclude certain constituents of the Parent Index. Relative to the Parent Index, the Benchmark Index excludes constituents from the Parent Index based on Aviva Investors’ baseline exclusion policy, as set out in Appendix 5 of the Prospe ctus. Performance and Risk Measurement: The Fund's performance is compared against the Benchmark Index because the Fund intends to replicate the performance of the Benchmark Index. The Fund uses a “tracking error” to measure the consistency between the Fun d's returns and the returns of the Benchmark Index. In general, the lower the tracking error, the more consistent the Fund's returns are relative to the Index, and vice - versa.
The Fund has a yearly tracking error target range of 0 - 0.50% (excluding charge s). In normal market conditions the anticipated level of tracking error will be within 0.50% (excluding charges) of the Benchmark Index. As a consequence of this, the fund may be treated as tax transparent for the purpose of income and /or gains by relevant taxing jurisdictions. The Prospectus and annual reports are prepared for the umbrella. The fund is a non - UCITs retail scheme. This NURS KII document is specific to this unit class. NURS - KII documents will be available for other unit classes within this fund where they exist. The fund's current unit price is calculated on each working day and is published daily on our website. The Depositary of the fund is HSBC Bank plc. It has delegated the function of Custod ian of the fund to HSBC Bank plc. Investors should note that the tax legislation that applies to the fund may have an impact on the personal tax position of your investment in the fund.
